Once again we will be an exhibitor at the Maine Association of Site Evaluators Annual Meeting. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 26th at the Jeff’s Catering in Brewer, Maine. We’re excited to be participating as our long time mentor, Earle Rafuse receives recognition for a half century of service at the luncheon on Thursday, September 20th. Last summer a group of septic professionals from Maine made the scenic ride to the Presby Environmental manufacturing facility in Whitefield, New 
Hampshire. Septic Systems of Maine has been asked to help coordinate another event this summer so mark your calendar for Thursday, August 16th. We would like to invite all interested participants including the State of Maine code officials, septic installers and site evaluators to join us. Riding a motorcycle to the manufacturing plant at Presby Environmental, Inc in Whitefield, NH is optional. The White Mountain Regional Airport is located adjacent to the plant if you would like to fly-in and of course traveling by automobile is always acceptable. The motorcycle group will be meeting at 8:30am at the Augusta Civic Center and plan to ride to the plant with an informational seminar, review of an EnviroFin installation, a tour of the manufacturing facility and lunch provided. Come learn how to use the Presby Spec-Check® – We’ll be doing live demonstrations during the 9th Annual Maine Code (MBOIA) Conference on May 21st & 22nd at the Point Look Resort in Northport, Maine.
Spec-Check® is a portable, hand-operated device used for sorting/grading a sample of aggregate, sand or other particulate material in order to determine whether a sample meets a specification for an intended use. Spec-Check® provides a quick analysis giving a “go / no-go” indication in order to assist in determining whether the material can be used for a particular purpose, if a full sieve analysis is required, or if an alternative supply of aggregate is needed.
