Septic Systems of Maine specializes in the design and material sales of septic systems for both residential and commercial customers. We offer a variety of eco-friendly alternatives to traditional leach fields where the cost, Eco-footprint and space required are all reduced. We serve the entire state of Maine and work regularly with several design and installation professionals throughout all of Maine.
As the Maine distributor for Presby Environmental, Inc., Septic Systems of Maine offers the Advanced Enviro-Septic®, Enviro-Septic® and EnviroFin® Leaching Systems, the Presby Maze® for septic tanks and the Presby De-Nyte® system, are just some of the innovative septic products manufactured by Presby Environmental, Inc. Both contractors and site evaluators in Maine find the Presby systems are lower in cost and longer in life in comparison to a conventional stone and pipe system. The EnviroFin® has the smallest footprint for a leach bed in the State of Maine. We are finding landowners who have waterfront property or landowners with limited space are now able to install this system where there was not room for one before. Over 300,000 Presby systems have been installed in New England and throughout the world.

Our History…
Our owners, Kathy-Rae and Michael Emmi have long been in the industry, beginning Maine Septic & Pumping back in 1996 in Lewiston, Maine, and acting as the Maine distributor for Presby Environmental, Inc., a manufacturer of innovative septic products. Currently, Septic Systems of Maine has more than 35 dealer locations throughout the State. Since 2000 Septic Systems of Maine has pioneered a training program to educate and certify professionals in the design, installation and inspection of Presby systems. These training classes have been instrumental in helping to protect and preserve our beautiful state. Septic Systems of Maine has also done live demonstrations to present new Presby technology and innovations in waste water treatments. Before moving to Lewiston, the proprietor, Kathy-Rae Emmi worked with her family’s construction company Presby Construction in New Hampshire which was primarily involved in the design and installation of septic systems. Before joining Kathy-Rae, Michael owned and operated the South of the Border Mexican Restaurant on Sabattus Street in Lewiston.
